FWC is a pain in the ass and they need to regulate commercial fisherman not the littel guys. We pay taxes to be able to catch fish and feed our family, these new rules are getting out of hand for fish that are in abundance! Trigger fish have to be 15 in the Gulf but 12 on Atlantic, Trigger fish are a menace along the pipeline millions of them come to the surface and all they do is steal bait they all tend to be just under 15 inches because FWC measures them to the center of the fork which is a joke they are on average 12 inches its a fact. Grouper closed all the time and they dominate the reefs in in Tampa Bay and in the Gulf. Cobia to have to be 36 inches are you serious do these people even fish or do they sit in a cozy office and just make up bullshit rules.

I am a pinfish man I've been doing it over 30 years using number 10 gold long shank hooks number 202 I have never called a bird on the Skyway at all I cannot understand how come you all took the pin fish away from us as a fish guys one hook just won't cut it there's no way I'll pay $8 go up there and waste my time catching them one at a time Florida Wildlife is taking our business away And due to this I know numerous of people including myself for not go up to the Skyway ever again because of new rules what's in place that State Park will lose a lot of money

ANd could I just attach this above my downrigger weight (10-15lbs) and descend that way or would the fish initially fall off? Get to depth, pause, then just bring the cannonball back up. Thanks.

I have only been to this pier 3 times and had bad experiences all 3 times because I was harassed by multiple people with shirts on that said friends of pelicans they would throw bait at the point where my lines were and lure tje pelicans to that spot and cause them to hit my lines then start hollering at me as if I did something wrong when it's actually them baiting birds so they would become entangled also I have watched them bait birds and throw a cast net at them hitting them with the weighted lead line knocking them unconscious briefly then once they get them up and over the rail slamming them to the hard deck of the pier when there was nothing wrong with the bird in tje first place I have lived in florida all my life and have never seen any sea bird treated with the utmost disrespect as those people do and the lack of respect they have for the fisherman and women is unheard of and I am 63 years old I don't feelbthe bird and line interaction would be as significant if they were forced to stop feeding and baiting them to the lines as it is against the law to feed wild migratory sea birds in the first place that's what I have witnessed and one of the main reasons I haven't returned in a while because I said the next time one of them pushed me or cursed my partner I would be arrested for hospitalizing them it was safer for them and cheaper for me to relocate just some things you should keep in mind while listening to them there the bad people in this quarrel and I'm not from the west coast I'm an east coast guy but I fish florida

I wonder what TUG The port of Pensacola is using now to do the docking for the very very few ships the port gets. The Port of Pensacola could have been bigger than Mobile. But there have always been certain powers that be in Pensacola that didn’t want it to grow. They didn’t want good paying blue collar jobs because they felt it brings dirty type companies. They would rather have condominiums and cheap as paying jobs at work in restaurants and hotels. Anything to do with tourism flat out sucks because it produces nothing but low paying jobs.

OCEAN STAR OCEAN VOYAGER / OCEAN SUN If it’s a tug that I’m thinking of her and the company that I know I should say I knew it pretty well at one time many years ago in Pensacola. It was a good company and I really hated to see what happened to it. Although, I’m sure a lot of what I’ve heard was either made up or flat out lies
